HERE’S HOW IT WORKS
Professional flat rates, allow us to customize service times for each guest and their needs with clear cost for the guest. Why is this important? Because our craft is variable, and a one size fits all service time and cost won’t produce the same look on two different guests. Each guest has a unique canvas and will need a unique sequence of services to get to their goal. By customizing each reservation, we ensure the artist will have the correct amount of time needed to achieve that goal with the upmost quality and care people have come to know from TBM.
At TBM we have many levels of experienced artists with our Beaux & Bridges Career Training Program. Each artist provides pricing based on their professional experience in their field with their provided services and specialties. Less experienced artists have lower hourly rates while completing their hands on training under the wing of an advanced or master artist. Less experienced artists may require longer service times while more advanced artists, have higher rates but also the added value of speed and knowledge.
Why no TIP? As professionals with a distinct scope of practice, we provide our guests with the value of our knowledge, expertise and artistry that has taken years of education, dedication, and investment to perfect. Our time and knowledge are a valuable collection, and our flat rates reflect that value so tipping becomes unnecessary. Our guests can relax and enjoy their service, one on one with their artist knowing their cost upfront and skipping the stress and pressure of “tip etiquette” at check out.

Frequently asked questions
What do the extensions feel like?
HAIRTALK extensions are extremely comfortable, light weight and lay flat to the head. Having extensions feels similar to getting a new piece of jewelry, it feels odd for a little while but you soon forget that it is there.
How do I care for my hair at home?
All extension packages come with a Hairtalk product kit with everything you need to cleanse and style your hair. Washing is similar to how you wash your natural hair; you now just have more of it. Cleanser should only be used on your scalp while conditioner should only be used on the bottom half of the hair ends and NOT near the weft. Blow dry or air dry before sleeping is important so the wefts do not bend or curl becoming uncomfortable. We suggest sleeping in a low, loose braid or ponytail.
Can I color My natural hair with extensions?
If you are a regular color client thinking about extensions, don’t worry. You do not have to give up one love for another. We recommend keratin extensions for guests needing color maintenance more often then every 10 weeks.
Color services can be done same day as extension services! We can easily add a root color retouch to your tape extension reset appointment upon request. Color services do require additional time and may be booked with a separate color artist..
HOW DO I KNOW IF EXTENSIONS ARE A GOOD SRVICE FOR ME?
Extension services are amazing, but this high maintenance luxury service is not right for everyone. Some lifestyles may not be ideal for this service such as frequent swimmers, guests that need a wash and wear style, guests with very curly hair, etc. To see if this service is right for you click the ASK AN ARTIST button below and answer a few questions for us to review!
How do I choose the right length?
Hairtalk comes in 4 lengths with tapered ends for a natural blended look. 13-inch hair length falls for most people at the collar bone or top of the bust. This length is typically used for corrective placement or guests with natural hair above their shoulder. 17-inch hair length falls at about the bra strap. 21-inch hair length falls on most people at the bottom of the rib cage or natural waist. 25-inch hair length falls closer to the hip bone. Your stylist can suggest the right length for you & your current natural hair length and can combine extension lengths to create a natural blended look! Keep in mind these are length estimations and as neck and torso length is variable for every guest, extension length results vary.
How can I style the extension hair?
Because HAIRTALK uses the absolute best Remy 100% human hair, you can style it with heat and tools just as you style your natural hair. It is important to keep heat away from the weft as heat can damage the weft and render it unusable for your next reapplication. Our hair artists reserve the right to make a professional assessment of the quality of a hair extension weft with reapplication appointments. If a weft is unusable it is disposed of and a new weft will be used from your hair package.
Can the extensions be colored?
With over 600 colors and infinite color combinations, coloring extensions is rarely necessary. Toners and deposit color can be used to refresh extensions but will void the product factory warranty. Keep in mind, other products and environmental exposures such as purple shampoo, pigmented hair products, ocean water, chlorinated pool water, topical tanning products etc. can void the manufacturer’s warranty as well as they alter the hair product.
Can I swim with my extensions?
We highly recommend you keep your beautiful head above that water! Chlorinated water and even salt water can discolor your extensions and break down the weft making it no good for reapplication. If your lifestyle includes frequent swimming, tape weft extensions may not be a good match for you.
